i am partial to the tulip. my sister bought me some lovely ones a few weeks ago. two days after i planted them, there was a relentless rain which ripped through their delicate petals and destroyed them. for now. i’ve dug up the bulbs and tucked them away for next year. there is a great deal of hope and expectation in tulips. they are always worth the wait.
Tulips always lift my spirits up. Brightening up the landscape, they give me something to look forward to each spring and helps me wait out the last pieces of winter.
